These are my two first Chinchillas. They are both grey standards. They are sisters who I got from two of my friends that had bred their Chinni's. They are 7 months in this picture. They are in great health and have lovely sparkly eyes. They have lovely friendly temperaments but not as friendly as my two males (pictures below & about us cont page). Females can be just as friendly as males but some say that females take longer to warm to humans than males.

They were successfully rehomed in April.

This is my beige male who is called Stumpy. He is approx 2 years old. He is in-bred and suffered deformities because of this. These are: fused together toes and generally deformed feet. He was taken to another Chinchilla rescue near me as he had been living with his two brothers who had badly attacked him leaving him with an open wound on his back. The rescue center nursed him back to good health and I now have him to try to re-home as she couldn't find anyone who wanted him. He is the nicest, tamest Chinni I've met so far. He doesn't like other Chins and much prefers humans. Also he's got fabulous red eyes which are rare i'm told. He will make the perfect pet but cannot be bred from due to his deformaties.

Update: Stumpy has been successfully re-homed (30/04/07).
